Catalyst Community Fitness is pleased to join the Free Fridge Salem pantry community initiative. Free Fridge Salem is nurturing our commUNITY and fostering being a good neighbor to everyone. We are ALL neighbors.
A community fridge is a refrigerator located in a public space. It enables food and essentials to be shared within a community in which anyone can put food in and anyone can take food out. This includes a dry pantry shelf for non-perishable food and essentials that can be offered to community members that need them.
Community fridge and dry pantries are types of mutual aid where community members and local businesses drop off fresh and homemade meals to support combating food insecurity within the community. Free Fridge Salem is a sustained act of community care we are for the community by the community.
Mutual Aid is the future.
Catalyst's fridge is located just inside the business at the roll-up door for easy access and has masks provided just in case anyone needs to come inside.
